Ozotic 502 Sands

As I said yesterday, I caved and bought all the ozotic pro multichrome polishes last week from piCture pOlish.  These are a total dupe of my Artform multichromes - see the Artform #502 here. But I don't mind having dupes of such awesome colours, and it also means I can decant some for my mum too.

Instead of posting these in number order, I'm going to post them in order of my least favourite to favourite.  Which makes this post, #502 or 'Sands' as it is now called, my least favourite.

It shifts from burgundy through to gold.  This was two coats over black.

I also think this is more of a duochrome rather than a multichrome, because I just don't really see that rainbow of colours like I do with the other Ozotic polishes.

Still beautiful, even if its my least favourite.

This was also the hardest to capture on the camera.  I had that problem with the Artform dupe too.  I didn't change my photography technique for this, so I just don't think it's as 'multichromey' as the others.

Blue zebra print manicure

For this manicure, I had a little inspiration from a mani on nailcrack. I saw a manicure similar to this on their website, and I had just gotten a blue nail polish (though not the same color blue) so I wanted to try my hand at it :)

Here's the blue polish, from AC (a Japanese low-cost line, who makes some pretty decent colors! I used it in my recent turquoise pedi, and a past orange mani.) As far as quality goes, I'd rate them higher than NYC because their polishes only need two coats for even coverage, and they cost about the same. However, NYC has more variety.

I used AC #68 as the base color. It's a nice, vivid blue, and I do mean vivid! After that I painted the stripes on with Majolica Majorca black nail polish. Majolica Majorca is made by Shiseido, I LOVE this brand (they also make other makeup, their eye shadows are so pretty!) I need to get a thinner art brush one of these days, this one is good for most art but not when I need more detail.. Finally I finished off with Nailene clear coat.

It is a little loud though, and I'm going out with my husband and his coworkers/friends this Friday night, so I may change it Friday to a basic swatch of a little more subdued color ^^;; I mostly just wanted to swatch the blue!

Zoya - Veruschka

Green lovers, it's time to drool! Right now I'm wearing Zoya - Veruschka, a shimmery dark green matte. Veruschka was one of the first polishes I tried from the brand Zoya and I can recall being impressed. And I still am. I always like how Veruschka looks matte (not dull at all!), but everytime I wear it I end up applying topcoat, it's obvious why, right? :) That shimmer is crazy beautiful!

The application was great, especially for a matte polish. It doesn't dry too fast so there's enough time to apply even layers without streaks. I used two coats.
